“DAG” in Thai is slang for “eat” and the name perfectly reflects the informal atmosphere created by top chef and tattoo enthusiast Chalermpon “Van” Rohitratanain who provides gastronomical greatness using local produce.
Van’s personal passion in opening this shop was to have a place “to eat whatever he wants.” He celebrates simplicity in maintaining high standards, rejecting the “gastronomy and mixology bullshit” that great eating must by complicated or expensive.
He and his team innovate by using the best local produce, secondary cuts of meat, and experimental techniques. The menu changes every couple of weeks according to whatever local ingredients are available so repeat diners are never bored. Some standard items like noodles, chili paste, crab eggs, duck with Chinese spices, curry with coconut milk are also on the menu.
DAG is ready to welcome you at its new custom built space overlooking Warehouse 30’s Soi 32 entrance (at the CAT end). Take the stairs next to Sweet Pista up to the cosy new spot.
